Memorial Day Weekend

Hello again!

As you all know, today is Memorial Day.  It is a day off work to relax and chill, a day to spend with family and friends, but most importantly, it is a day to remember those who have fallen in battle to defend the rights you have today.

Remember, today at 3 PM local time, is the national moment of silence.  Please take this time to think about all that has been lost to preserve your rights and freedoms.

Anyway, like anyone else, I had my weekend festivities.  Friday night, I ended up going to a small get-together at a co-worker's house.  A few drinks later, I came home.  It was a chill night.

Last night, however, was more like a party.  There weren't as many people there, but when the alcohol starts flowing, people start having fun.  Me an a co-worker who went to job school together in Mississippi met up with another classmate in Spotsylvania, VA.  Me and him are both freshly 21, but the co-worker of mine is like 25.  Between the three of us, we had two cases of Yuengling, a 6-pack of Four  Loko, and a 6-pack of Mike's Hard Strawberry Lemonade.  Oh, I can't forget the handle of Absolute Vodka.  It was a fun night.  We got a little out of control, at least us freshly 21 year olds did, and had a great time.  At the end of the night, there were only 3 beers left.  I'm fairly certian that those are going to be gone today.

As a final note, there is still time left in this weekend, so if you are of age, have fun and be safe!  If you are not 21 yet, don't drink, you can have fun without it! =D

A Bit About Me!

Hello again!

I figured if I am going to start this blog, I might as well let you all know a little bit about me.

My name is Jim.  Right now is an interesting time for me because I am about to start classes at the Air Force Academy.  I am currently enlisted in the Air Force, but going to the Academy will get me a commission.  Should be fun.

I just recently turned 21, and I am just enjoying life.

RECENT EVENTS

Just finished working the Air Show on base.  Let me tell you, that was a headache.  I do have to admit, I did have a bit of fun; however it was mainly a headache.

Now that this is over, I am sort of in the eye of the storm.  With the Unit Compliance Inspection looming, this is my last chance to stop and catch my breath for a few days.

Just taking things day by day and working out as much as I can to get into shape for basic training again...

My First Post!

Hey Guys!  I just started my first blog.  More posts coming!  Be sure to follow me.
